Battery life is short

Decent product and honest sellers
I bought these to use in class for a photo scavenger hunt. They didnât last long enough for the activity I had planned, but the sellers reached out to make things right with me and updated the listing to make it a more accurate representation of the product. The product is good for its intended audience and the description is now accurate. The camera is easy to use and the battery lasts about 30-50 minutes which is fine for the attention span of a young child. I would do business with this seller again. I wish there were more honest businesses out there like this one.

Got this blue kids camera for my soon to be 4 year old son. He likes taking pictures on his moms phone so he wanted a camera of his own. We haven’t given it to him yet but he’ll be able to take pics at his party. Great for little hands and the silicone case is not only cute it protects all sides so it doesn’t break. He’ll love it. Came within 3 days which is awesome.

Low image quality, but a fantastic product overall with TF card included
 I didn’t get this for a kid — I’m a professor doing research in computational photography and I got this to hack for research purposes. Thus, I’m going to review it critically although I’m sure a kid would be very happy with this right out of the box.First off, what you’re getting for the price here is amazingly featureful and I would think a kid would be thrilled to get and use one of these. It’s not just a tiny camera with a color rear LCD; it actually has both forward and backward facing cameras, comes with a 32GB TF card, has a built-in rechargeable battery, and comes with charging cable, adorable half case, and strap. I have no clue how they can sell this for around $10; the TF card and the color LCD alone cost more than that if bought separately as components — which is why I bought this to hack. The firmware in the camera is pretty minimal in terms of camera control options, but has the usual fun filters and frames; it also has some simple games built-in.The camera pretty much does what the ad says it should do and, honestly, the images look great on the rear color LCD. Unfortunately, that’s about as high-resolution as the images really get. The ad states 20MP still resolution, and the camera defaults to that but also provides up to 40MP stills. The catch is, the pixel count isn’t the resolution. Yes, the two images here were shot with it and are each 7344×5504 pixel JPEGs, but the detail present suggests that the sensor is actually just 640×480 and very low-quality interpolation is used to scale up to a very blocky-looking 40MP. The JPEG compression is also a bit too aggressive, smearing away low-contrast details even at 640×480 resolution. Video was rendered as a very rough-looking 1920×1080 with decent audio, but the aspect ratio is wrong, with scene content significantly taller than it should be in the attached clip.The other thing worth noting is that the camera does NOT present itself as a USB device when attached to a computer. Despite the ad saying it can be used for file transfer, the USB interface is exclusively for charging. You have to use the TF card with a reader to get the photos out; it will let you shoot to internal memory without a TF card, but I couldn’t get the images out. Incidentally, the camera end of the USB cable is micro USB B with a standard USB A connector on the charger end.In the bottom of the ad, they give some detailed specs, including that the sensor is a 1/4″ 640×480. Unfortunately, they also give a variety of obviously incorrect specs: an effective still resolution of 2MP (it delivers 0.3MP), “maximum webcam image resolution” of 200MP (it delivers 40MP, but can’t function as a webcam), say “compatible mountings” is Micro Four Thirds (it has no relationship to MFT), and say “viewfinder type” is optical (it is a rear LCD). These incorrect specs are likely to have been taken from component datasheets without realizing they don’t apply to the camera as built.In summary, this stand-alone camera contains the optical equivalent of two $3 webcams — which, given the price, is an awesomely good deal. Strongly recommended as long as you’re OK with 640×480 stills and rather poor video with OK sound. It’s also really nice that this includes the TF card, which only saves a few dollars, but makes it very complete; the only thing you need to add is a standard USB charger.
