Customers say

Customers like the quality, performance, and storage space of the waist pack. For example, they mention it’s a solid quality belt, works well as an everyday belt, and provides a hidden money compartment. That said, some complain about the buckle. Opinions are mixed on the fit and zipper.

    Well Made Product
This belt is very well made. It uses higher quality materials than used in other webbing travel/camping belts that I have seen. the zippered storage area runs approximately 70% the length of the belt and would allow you to store a lot of flat paper objects, such as cash and a copy of your passport. I have only been using it for a week, so I can’t speak to its longevity. However, it does seem like it will last quite some time. The belt comes rather long, but you can cut it to length using a pair of scissors and then melting the end to avoid fraying. I wear a size 32-in waist pants. After cutting the belt to my waist size the zipper area reaches around 80%+ or so of my waist, so it can actually hold quite a bit (as long as everything is flat).Pros:*Quality materials (thick nylon, quality plastic buckle)*Even if zipper broke the design should keep items inside the belt while you are wearing it*Can go through metal detectors without taking it off (but airport security will make you remove it anyways for a pat-down or millimeter-wave scanning)Cons:*For backpackers who are extremely weight-conscious, this is heavier than a basic webbing belt (lighter than a normal belt though)*Does not roll up tightly when not in use, due to zipper.

    Functional and low-profile
I was worried that this belt would be too big and bulky to take as a travel belt but I was wrong. Yes, it is about 1″ in width but it will fit most pants very well. Aside from the fact that it is basically 1″ wide nylon webbing strap (the same kind luggage straps are made out of), it performs well. The zipper area actually is more than 18″ in length so you can fold and stuff quite a few bills inside before it gets too thick. Also, I like that there is a little hooded area to tuck the zipper head into so that it doesn’t dig into your waist. The belt was a little too long for me so I just cut the end to size and then used a flame to “seal” the edges to prevent fraying. If you look closely, that’s basically what the manufacturer did to seal it originally. As long as you don’t apply too much heat, the ends will melt slightly and it will look almost exactly like it came from the factory.Because everything on this belt is plastic, it doesn’t set off any TSA scans and you don’t have to take it off every time you pass by security. It saves you from taking one less thing off (jacket, shoes, belt, wallet, etc). Overall, a good investment if you want to feel a little safe traveling in high pick-pocket areas. No one would suspect that your seemingly cheap nylon belt (with an equally generic plastic buckle) hides hundreds of dollars.

Nice belt, but not always security passable
I bought this for a recent trip to carry sone extra bills on me in case of an emergency. rolling or folding the bills adds stiffness to the belt (especially the plastic British pounds) making it conform to the body a little less. The belt passed through the US TSA check without removing it or setting off alarms, but while going through security at Heathrow, the metal zipper slider set off the alarm, resulting in getting pulled aside and subjected to a patdown and metal detector wand scan. I’ll probably still use this as a belt without money inside as it looks nice.

    The Best EveR for me.
I have purchased and used more money belts that can count. This thing is best I have had. Anyone has better? I’m interested. This one has lasted over 10 years and only the buckle wore out. Bought another name brand thinking it would be better since I have bags, travel stuff, etc… Opened last night and buckle fell apart. Lucky I bought two of these because works perfect. I would pay extra if they used metal buckle. I said above, if there is a better one, please let me know. Thanks.

Very low quality and poor design
The initial feeling i got from this belt is that it’s very low quality and the design is very bad. The belt is thiner than any of my belts, which is inconvenient considering that you want to stuff money inside of it. They could have made it wider and it would look much more like a belt instead of a strap. The buckle is made of cheap plastic (I think is polyethylene terephthalate) and I’m unsure it will hold after a month of backpacking through a foreign country. The look of it is just… it’s just bad. It does not look like a belt at all, it looks like if you grabbed a strap and tied it around your waist. I know fashion is probably one of the least important things during traveling since you’ll probably not see any of these people again in your life but still, it’s just a bad looking belt.

    MONEY BELT
This money belt was well-made and was everything they claimed it to be. It didn’t have enough room inside the zipper pocket for my husband to comfortably handle his money, even for just hiding his extra money and rarely accessing it. He just would not mess with it. I decided to use it for my belt and it was satisfactory. I did use it for a money stash, and it didn’t bother me to fold the money carefully to make it fit. The plastic buckle did not set off custom’s security scanner, but they made me remove my belt anyway. The webbing was rough on my skin with the way some of my jeans fit.

    Good travel belt
I quite liked this belt for it’s use in travelling. I kept money in it (80-100 USD) and a photocopy of my passport. Once everything was in it, i never unzipped it for the rest of my trip. I never had to take it off for security, which had been an annoyance with my regular belt, and it served as a nice peace of mind. It’s not as sturdy as my regular belt, but i think this is an acceptable compromise in order to pass through security without bothering taking it off. It’s plenty strong for the amount of travelling i do (probably ~6 weeks of travel a year) though i go back to my regular belt when i’m not travelling. My only ‘gripe’ is that it was pretty long. (I’m a 34″ waist) and I ended up cutting about 5 inches off so that it wasn’t wrapping all the way around my waist or flopping around in the breeze. I didn’t really expect a custom sized belt so i don’t count that as a big deal.

Es un buen cinturon que aunque la finalidad es para guardar dinero durante los viajes, tambien es bueno para usarlo en el dia a dia. Lo compraría otra vez.

Normally I wouldn’t get too excited about a money belt, but I love this belt! It looks good (at least to me, this isn’t a style thing when you’re travelling casually) and works very well. The only thing to note, and this is for all money belts, take your money out and leave it unfolded for a while, as you will see that the money tends to be crinkled up – not a big deal at all. As for this belt, yes I would buy it again.
