    Better than expected.
Always worried about buying clothing, especially shoes online without being able to try them on; especially a newer brand I wasn’t familiar with. These did not disappoint, instead I am now a loyal customer and plan on buying another pair this fall. I live in a wet area in Oregon where it rains 200+ days out of the year, and waterproof and comfort are most important. I don’t just use these for trails, but use them as daily shoes in town and on trails. I have had these for 7 months now and they are still in good condition but starting to wear. However, as most waterproof shoes, they lose water resistance with wear. I walk 5 miles a day, so I put these to the test.Extremely comfortable. Everyone has different feet and comfort, was pleasantly surprised with these right out of the box. I always add more support, after a few weeks to preserve the original inside soles. The right size (12) as advertised; fit perfect. Good laces and support in the ankle area; strong material. They also look good which is also important. I have tested them through rain, snow, ice, in town, and trails and would highly recommend them. I read reviews thoroughly when buying things online, especially apparel and these had high reviews. Great shoes and plan on buying another pair this fall before the heavy rains get here again.

Awesome boot all around… but not waterproof
I really really wanted to like these boots, but I just couldn’t…Pros :- Fit great out of the box – I usually have to size up or go for a wider size. Not these. Perfect-No break-in period. Comfy and good to go as soon as I started walking-Construction seems good for the price pointCons:- They are not waterproof or even water resistant. They soak up water like a sponge. The description online goes between waterproof and water resistant. On the boot itself is a metal bar that states “waterproof”. They are neither.Application :I walk my dog in a field every morning. There is accumulated water ( dew) in the grass. I happen to not like wet socks and wet feet so I needed a pair of field boots. These seemed to fit my need with a decent price point. After the first day of walking water started to soak through… after only a 15-minute walk in wet grass. Again, I really wanted to like them so I tried to apply some waterproofing from a well-known company, spray-on type. I followed the directions and that didn’t help, still soaks water like a sponge.Result :Back to amazon. I would recommend it if you need a hiking boot or overall field boot that is absolutely NOT waterproof. I bought a pair of Wolverine trade wedges and couldn’t be happier. Those are comfy and waterproof.Update: 11/2/23Customer service reached out and replaced my original boots with a different model that was waterproof. I am very happy with the customer service – they really went above and beyond to help me, many other companies would not take the time to reach out to their customers, understand the problem, and then offer to solve it for them…. in short, I am really impressed with their customer service. I’ve worn the new boots several times while walking my puppy and they are just as comfortable as the ones they replace- and this model is waterproof( has a rubberized coating). I don’t know how they will wear over time but they seem well made and I am only using them lightly every day so I feel like they will last. I changed my rating to 5 stars because of the outstanding customer service.

    Quality, water resistant, heavy, hot
These boots worked well for hiking in Alaska. They kept the water out. This was moderate rain not a downpour. In that time my feet stayed dry. The boots are comfortable fitting and look nice. The drawbacks I found were that your feet get hot in them and the boots are heavier in weight than they appear. I recommend them if you need a rugged shoe for hiking and you don’t need them for more than a four hour trek since they do get hot and are heavier than others.

    The Fit Was Critical
Since I need a wider toe-box and have worn Keens forever (love them except for the price and the fact I wear them out inside of 6 months), size becomes the deciding factor as most hikers have a “normal” width, often a ‘B’. Been though a pile of test “trys” with a bunch of boots to replace Keens, so ordered the Armadillo Model (fabric) in a 10.5W (I wear a 10.5 D-width). They fit great…even without a super-wide toe-box…but are slightly “loose” in the uppers with my foot but a thicker sock takes care of any slight sloppiness. Good sole, good construction, look great, and are comfortable out of the box…especially for the price. Even if they only lasted 6 months of heavy use they are easily $100+ ahead of other models, even the Lowa’s I have that aren’t as comfortable at $200 on a special buy (which is a well-built boot…but). If you want a good boot for hiking or everyday use, these are the ticket.UPDATE (06.14.24): These have been excellent so far (since April), the 10.5 W fits fine, although I ordered another pair in 11 (not wide), and they fit a little snugger across the arch whereas the 10.4W is slightly loose (fine, perfect for a thick sock. If you wear thick socks and need a wider toe-box, get your size in a wide, otherwise half size up in regular width.

I ordered wide, it came wide. 4E wide. Perfect.
Flexible. Comfortable. Lighter weight and I ordered a size 9W and it came that way. Says water proof and water resistant. We don’t know yet, I have only worn them around the garage. That’s why I gave it 4 stars for now. I start back next week at my job on a golf course. We shall find out about the water stuff. Otherwise for the price, they are darn good. Again, one of the big things is that they seem as flexible in the toe area as a pair of tennis shoes, which is good. Everyone hates breaking in boots. So if you don’t plan on working a construction site but still need some yard boots, these are them. UPDATE: TWO WEEKS working the golf course here in rainy Michigan. Not waterproof but pretty darn close. Two thumbs up. My socks seem sweaty, not wet so much. I have been walking gingerly thru frost and wet grass. For what I paid…I would buy again. Nice Job. Great job for the price.

Saw these, thought, i would get them as price was low. I find these reasonably light, comfortable. They appear waterproof, though not been in any very heavy rain fall. But against showers they are actually quite good. Come with spare laces too. So in all i say worth the price.

Buty szerokie, rozmiar ok, wygodna podeszwa, amortyzacja. Jednak po zasznurowaniu, język się marszczy i robią się twarde miejsca, które ocierają. Jest to bardzo niewygodne, pomimo zrobienia 35 km (7×5), problem pozostał.
