Customers say

Customers like the comfort, weight and value of the boot. For example, they mention it’s very comfortable, perfect for light hiking and the shank is good for a light boot. They also like the fit, and arch support. That said, some complain about the soles coming off. Opinions are mixed on quality and waterproofness.

Great shoe from a great brand.
Excellent for a wider foot, sole is comfortable to each step. Fit’s a little tighter than expected. Used Amazon Try Before You Buy to get a correct fit. Awesome shoe, perfect for light hiking once they’ve been broken in.

Boots were critically damaged after 5 months
The boots are declared as wear-resistant, high-strength. Cracked 5 months after purchase. I was very disappointed and upset by the poor quality. This is completely different from what I expected for almost $170.This fact does not negate the fact that the shoes are very comfortable. One of the disadvantages is that shoelaces are constantly being loosened.

  3. Rick Short

    Absolutely!
I purchased these for a trip to the Acadian salt marshes in Nova Scotia. They were (are) perfect!Size, fit, comfort:They feel really good. I bought a wide size and they are just perfect. My toes feel so good. Plus, they lace up tight and snugly where it counts. No shucking and sliding … no blisters or rubbing. Perfect!Waterproof:I spent days slogging throughout ancient dykes and present day tidal flats. “Muddy” doesn’t begin to describe it. Wet. Slippery. Gooey. No problem-o! Yes, they got muddy and stained, but they cleaned off simply and easily with a hose. So, my trip is over. Now what?I wear them when cutting trees, while at the shooting range, while hiking in the woods, while walking my property. They’re excellent. They help me protect my ankles (abrasion and turning), they provide sure-footedness, and they help me keep my grip – even in muck and mud. They’re not “warm,” I didn’t want that, but I’m sure they’d be great for shoveling the driveway in the winter. If I lost these boots I’d reorder them in a heartbeat.

fell apart in less than 6 months
keen shoes were once durable high quality shoes , these are garbage , the sole came apart in the 1st month and i glued it back. for the price these shoes totally suck!

    Very Comfortable and Sturdy
The shoe fit perfectly and is comfortable right out of the box. I have had no problems walking in them. I got them early to “break them in” before a trip later this summer where I will be hiking quite a bit, but I walked 4 miles in them the first day I had them without any blisters or pain so I’m not sure they require much breaking in.

  6. Timothy Hoyler

    Not waterproof. Seams fell apart.
Within 2 months the seam between the sole and boot has separated. Definitely not a Waterproof like they should be. Completely dissatisfied and disappointed.

  7. doug davis

Started to fall apart after 2 weeks.
Rubber on boots started separating after 2 weeks on the first pair. Amazon replaced the boots but the second pair started to have the same issue after a month.

Great fit, very comfortable, but marginal durability
I’ve worn Keen boots for many years, they usually provide the best fit given the shape and width of my feet. There are other boots that provide better support for carrying a heavier backpack (40+lb) but these are great for short trips or lighter loads. I’m not a very heavy individual, weighing 145 pounds, and I don’t tend to hike over rugged terrain, but the stitching has come out in several places on both boots and the outer surface has ripped or been punctured in a couple of places. Previous Keen boots lasted much longer so I am not sure if this is an isolated quality problem or they’re using cheaper materials.

  12. ENRIQUE

  13. MDC

Really pleased with these boots. There’s plenty of room in the toe box. I took a chance and walked with them in a wet Dartmoor without trying them out on shorter walks. They performed brilliantly, comfortable all day and no wet feet.
