Best fitting wool socks
FITs are the best wool hiking socks I have ever worn. I won’t wear any other brand now. Well worth the price. I like both the Med. weight hiker and the LT weight hiker. Even in the summer these socks are perfectly comfortable. If your boots and feet get wet you hardly even notice. My first pair was the LT weight crew and I wore them under a dry suit with water boots for swift water rescue. My feet stayed comfortable and warm in cold water. The socks also really help prevent blisters.

I missed the size chart on the order page!!! I have been wearing FITS for 8 years now and love them BUT I just ordered a pair, without looking carefully for a size chart. I ordered a pair of Large (I didn’t remember what I had ordered the last time). I ripped open the package – destroying it in the process. I didn’t discover my error until after I put them on. I wear a size 12 or 13. I have worn them once – if I could exchange them I would. These are great socks when you get the right size.

No blisters!
I purchased these at the recommendation of an outfitter store employee, who said that he never gets blisters in these socks. Frankly, I doubted him. It’s a pair of socks! Shoes cause blisters, right? Socks are socks. Well, I wore these 4 nights in a row during an Appalachian Trail 2-week camping vacation. I hiked up and down (and up and down again and again!) for 4 days without an issue. I decided to change my socks to another brand just because… 4 days with the same pair of socks. By the time I hiked another 7 miles in the same mountainous terrain, I had huge blisters on both feet. One day! I thought his “no blisters” story was a bunch of hooey. I’m a believer now.Also, these socks lasted for 2 full weeks, every day, lots of rain and mud, more than 150 miles, and I can barely tell I wore them. I should also mention that, unlike most AT hikers, I did NOT wear a thin pair of liner socks. I just wore these alone. I swear by them now.
