It’s a bit heavy, but it’s definitely strong
You can use it until you have a ghost on your umbrella.

    YES!!!
I’ve had all kinds of experiences with umbrellas, and this one wins. I’d recently purchased (and promptly returned) a WindPro umbrella that turned into a portable birdbath after five steps in mild winds. When I received this umbrella I knew from the moment I picked it up that it was solid and strong. It took a little more effort to open than other umbrellas do, but the force required to lock it out keeps it from inverting in strong winds. I can’t say I’ve had it in hurricane winds yet, but the storms it’s weathered thus far leave me confident that it’ll stand up to a gale. The blunt tips are also quite nice, since I tend to walk with the family and don’t want to put any eyes out. This is a great umbrella, bot functionally and stylistically!

THE BEST umbrella I’ve ever owned
A very well designed umbrella. I’ve been looking for an umbrella for some time that has plastic coated support ends because the round beaded metal ends mark up automobile roof and door paint when getting in and out of your car. The BLUNT umbrella has ends that are, well, blunt—there are no protruding metal or plastic ends because there are no support ends. This umbrella also has the fastest drying material I’ve ever seen. I got out of my car the other day, opened this umbrella, hit it with my blower for a minute and it was dry enough to put away in my car. I’ve also left it to dry by itself and I would estimate it was fully dry in less than 10 minutes—astounding. The only feature I’d like is push-button opening, however, with an umbrella of this size, I guess that would require a very heavy spring.

    Broke After Two Uses
I bought two of these umbrellas–I liked the different colors, wanted a backup, and thought the umbrellas would last a lifetime. The second umbrella that I bought broke after only two uses. The third time I tried to use it, in a downpour, it failed to fully open. It no longer latches at the top when I try to open it. I cannot see any difference between this newer umbrella and the one I purchased previously. I did not mistreat the umbrella and had barely used it prior to its failure to open. Prior to this I only purchased inexpensive, compact umbrellas. I have had rare failures with these umbrellas and only after years of repeated use. I purchased the Blunt band because I wanted an umbrella that wouldn’t turn inside out in the wind and I also wanted a larger size than a compact umbrella provides. It does appear to be well built but after only two uses is inoperable. I am very disappointed and cannot recommend this umbrella.

    Best umbrella I’ve owned
Best umbrella I’ve ever owned. Holds up well to high winds. The shock absorber holds up well. I wish I’d gotten the bigger one.

    sturdy and well made.
I had already bought a black Blunt umbrella, one of the first to come out, before I bought this one. Unfortunately, I left it behind in the shuttle bus at my job and it magically disappeared when I went asking for it. Not that I blame whoever took it. It is beautiful, well made, easy to open and close, and sturdy.I decided, however, that my next Blunt umbrella would be a bright color, to ensure I do not forget it again in the bus. A friend already has the red one, so I decided on this yellow one. Other than the color, which I like very much, this yellow Blunt is exactly like my old black one. Which is a very good thing indeed. And, although it is not as windproof as I’d hoped (it is very windy where I work and one day, coming in to work, a gust of wind turned it inside out), I have to say it is also very sturdy. Because all I did was put it back in its original state and nothing seemed to be broken or lose after that experience. So, while I cannot give it 5 stars, because it did turn inside out on me, Id give it 4 1/2 if I could, because in every other respect it is an exceptional umbrella.

    Great umbrella
Though this umbrella isn’t the cheapest, you get what you paid for. I’ve had a Blunt umbrella before but lost it so I bought the Classic black. This umbrella holds its own during high winds and its sleek and stylish. It being stylish isn’t so important but it’s just a nice plus. I highly recommend this umbrella as it lasts a long time.

  8. Andy

    Fantastic umbrella
I get compliments on this umbrella all the time. Did not know an umbrella could be so good. The corners can wear thin after a lot of use. Only other con is that it’s expensive, so I was sad when I lost this. Tells you a lot that I immediately had a new one shipped.

  9. TWen

The umbrella is very well engineered and built. I expect it to last much more than the 2-year warranty the manufacturer provides. It’s heavier than a typical stick umbrella of similar size, but that should be expected. I believe this costly umbrella will be the last one I buy. One star deduction for relatively short warranty.

  11. circ

I love the brand for the quality and durability, it’s expensive but worth it.

  12. Olha

I’m just their big fan. Haven’t seen something better.

  13. Chris

A good sturdy umbrella, nice and bright colour, not prone to break at the tips like most umbrellas.Expensive though, but hopefully will last much longer than most.
