How Did We Get Our Start?
Back in the mid-1990s, our founder Bill Whyte worked as a carpenter. He worked hard, and so did his hands. They would often split and crack in the frigid New England winters. One night, seeking a soothing solution, he mixed up some beeswax and olive oil to create a simple herbal balm. It helped his hands so much, he decided to share it with everyone he knew – and the rest, as they say, is Badger history.

Works AMAZINGLY!!!
I lived in Alaska for 7 years and now I’m in Oregon. The person all the mosquitoes bite even when they leave everyone else alone. When I get bit it’s a pretty big deal and all the bites swell up huge and itch for a week. I just got back from a 4-day camping/ festival trip in the woods where everyone was covered in bites and covering themselves with OFF which I really wasn’t going to do.I was frolicking in the woods till 4:00 in the morning for four straight days and did not have a single bite. There were even two ponds on the premises and the mosquitoes were thick. I doused myself every few hours and I could see the mosquitoes come about 1 ft away and then fly away. The stuff smells amazing like lemongrass, everyone kept asking me what I was wearing because it smells delicious. I’m so excited to have found this non-toxic bug spray. Remember to shake the bottle and be generous with the sprays.

Great non tox bug spray
I’ve been slowly but surely trying to use more natural products, but living in the woods I needed an effective bug spray. This one is great at keeping away mosquitoes and smells nice. It doesn’t seem to keep away all the gnats but I think it reduces them.

I love that I can spray this on my kids without worrying about DEET. It has a nice smell to it and it works! If the bugs are super bad, you may have to spray it on a few times an hour but we usually donât have an issue.

This spray works well for my granddaughter. It has a very strong citronella smell that may bother some children. It seems to dissipate a little, to a more acceptable level, when you go outside.

The product is made up of a blend of oils that is very pleasant smelling. I like that it is certified organic and pretty lasting for 3 hours. I used it on my toddler and myself. It can be quite oily but when spread around the skin, it is ok. There is no issue when I tried to spray while holding it upside down. Oil may leak and trickle down the sides of the bottle. A transparent cap comes together with the bottle helps to contain the mess. Overall, it is a pretty handy and good-sized bottle for bringing out or placing at our entryway.
