Very good choice for me
I got this suitcase last summer and have flown with it (checked baggage) 5 or 6 times. Itâs held up just fine, rolls nicely, and I love the blue color. Plenty of room inside. My only complaint is that itâs hard to pick up and put in the trunk, etc.- nothing to grab onto on one end. But Iâm VERY happy with it and the price was great.

Good hardshell suitcase
I was hesitant at first, but, after much research and trial and error, returned to this Amazon Basics hardshell suitcase, finally convinced of my purchase.I ordered the lighter blue color initially, did not like it, and returned it. I then tried out multiple other brandname (and much more expensive) options, and found them to be no sturdier or any more rigid, or of any higher quality than Amazonâs.I finally returned to this product, in a less screaming navy blue color, which still allows me to spot my luggage from afar on the baggage claim belt (or letâs airline staff more easily locate it after they lost it againâ¦) without hurting my eyesâ¦And for less than the price of one 28â luggage piece of the brandname options, I got an additional carry-on with Amazon Basics.Time will tell – but I donât expect them to last as long as my softshell luggage, which after 25 yrs and about 1 million flight miles finally started to wear. However, at this price that would be ok if it doesnât just break tomorrow.The extension handle is a little wobbly, as other reviewers have commented – something to watch regarding longevity. So there is room for improvement.The spinner wheels run smooth. I like the 4 wheel spinners which you can roll in any direction – my old softshell with 2 wheels could only moved broadside, not allowing me to roll it along the center aisles of the European high speed trains, which quickly becomes a hassle. The wheels stick out a bit far – which helps with luggage space on the inside, but I wonder if baggage handlers manage to snap them off eventually. They sure will try⦠A slight recessing of the wheels may be another improvement to consider.Finally one more ârevolutionaryâ idea: why does every hardshell luggage out there have two clamshell halves of exactly the same depth? Instead, make one deeper than the other to give you more flexibility in packing bulky items⦠duh.Otherwise, after a lot of research, I do recommend this luggage set . Good product, well worth the price.

So Far, So good
I like that it glides nice and smooth. I had no issues taking it from S.F. to Miami and then on a cruise and back. The rollers worked great. I like the color and had plenty of room. The verdict is still out if it’s sturdy enough, because I have only used them on this one trip. They held up fine and look fine when I got home. Would they withstand heavy tossing around with someone who travels a lot? Maybe not. I can’t say for sure they wouldn’t, but based on my opinion after feeling the material I’d say they are for the average traveler who goes on a trip 1-3 times a year. If you are someone who travels a lot for work, etc., I am sure you’d invest at 3x the amount these cost– which would make total sense.However, I wanted a decent set of luggage, that didn’t look too cheap and these worked great for that. If something changes I will update my review. It’s a pretty good value for the price and if you’re looking in this price range then I can say confidently they worth it.
