These zip-off pants have hem zippers too! Very easy to convert without first removing shoes.
These lightweight zip-off convertible pants from the 33,000 Feet brand are one of only a few here on Amazon that also have hem zippers! Which means that you can easily convert these pants to shorts without first having to remove your shoes. The left leg has a different color zipper than the right leg to greatly reduce frustrations when converting back to long pants. Only the left cargo pocket has a zipper closure, whereas the right cargo pocket has a Velcro closure (I would have preferred both cargo pockets having zipper closures). There are 5 belt loops, which is not quite enough (a cloth belt, not included, tends to ride up between the loops). These pants do not have a D-ring so if you use that feature (like I do) you’ll have to add your own (like I did). There pants are a bit more expensive than others here on Amazon, but do go on sale occasionally ($40 instead of $50). I wish the Khaki color came in more sizes, I don’t know why that color is so size-limited (as of July 2023).And as I said earlier: hem zippers!

Nice and cool.
Bought because I do a lot of yard work (mostly weedeater) and we’re going through a heatwave. Actually just been hand washing it with cold water for the most part since the material does not seem to retain moisture. It’s started to stain now but after a week of yardwork that’s actually pretty impressive to me. Held up well so far, no fraying or anything major.My only complaint is you can -feel- the zippers around the leg, it’s not terrible but definitely noticeable.

I bought these for my husband because he loves hiking but doesn’t have good pants for it so he ends up wearing sports shorts or khaki shorts. These are perfect because they’re pants but can unzip the legs and become shorts. They are lightweight, breathable, and have enough stretch for the climbing and hiking that he loves to do. I plan to get him a second pair when the gray are back in stock!

Well constructed – maybe too much.
The pants fit well, the color was nice and they seem to be well made. On the flip side I found the material to be too heavy and did not breath very well even with the legs zipped off. If you plan on using them in cool weather they might be ok. I have tried out most of the nylon convertible pant on Amazon and I prefer the Columbia pants for their light weight and breathability; though they tend to look a bit saggy and rumpled. The 33,000 pants look very sharp by comparison.

Comfortable
These are light weight, high quality, comfortable hiking pants. The tiny, pant-leg zippers work very well, making them easy to convert back and forth between shorts and pants. I would recommend them and I have purchased them again in another color.

great hiking/getting doused pants; dry quickly and surprisingly tough
I wore them while exploring a stream in Oregon. to get the photos I wanted, I waded out into the stream, and then worked my way down it, getting pics as a I went. These pants were great, as were easy to get the leg sleeves off, and the shorts dried quickly. Never felt like the old sticky/slippery nylon feeling either. The design is slightly different, but overall, I liked them better than the Columbia convertible pants that I bought for this trip, too, with similar usage in Idaho and Wyoming creeks.

Fits as expected and good length for a tall guy. He likes that the zip off portion does not require you to take you shoe off to remove. Great wet wading pants!
