Good backup straps for luggage
In this day of baggage handling, inspections and (cheaply made) expensive suitcases and luggage it is not uncommon to see bags split open disgorging a lot of it’s contents for the whole airport to see. We obtained one such travel bag and just closing it the nylon zipper had already separated. Needing it to haul our things we employed the straps to help keep everything contained. Upon arrival at our destination 6 hours later the bag rolled of the carrousel easily ID by the straps and whole and securely closed. The buckles and sturdy luggage belt provided a extra helping hand to assure our things arrived safe and secure.I’d recommend these Luggage Straps.

This has a serious lock on it!
This is a very sturdy, thick, luggage strap with a big lock on it! It kinda looks almost silly in my picture on my small carryon suitcase, but hey, you have to be careful with this stuff, too! This was about as small as the straps would go, but they have a lot of adjustment to them, so they can get much larger. They are a material like a seat belt, so very strong. I am very happy with this!

Didn’t Make It on First Trip
I had high hopes about these straps and felt confident my belongings would not be strewn across the tarmac. Unfortunately, before I even got to the airport, the lock got messed up and I couldn’t lock it. I tried re-doing the combination time after time without success. Despite the instructions to, “Push the button on the side,” in reality there was no ‘button’ and I had to push a slim object through the side opening until I was able to dislodge the mechanism. Needless to say I was frantic prior to my flight, having to Google solutions for a half-hour. I managed to put the straps back on in the cross-configuration; but when my suitcase arrived in Athens I had both straps wrapped in the same direction by TSA; I guess they couldn’t unlock it either. I was never able to open the locked-strap because there was no longer any access to fiddle with the internal mechanism. The straps seemed good quality but they are super-smooth and therefore slit; plus the lock was terrible. I tossed the locked strap before flying home and kept the plain strap. Very disappointed.

These straps are perfect for my luggage when I travel. One of them has a simple buckle but the other has a TSA approved lock with a 3 digit combination. And they have a card to put your contact information.Theyâre pretty sturdy. I love the colour, easy to see on the baggage belt at the airport.Great for the price.
